ACCOUNT DELETION
Delete your Dibbit account.
You can permanently delete your account in the Dibbit app or through the secure account page. Reading these instructions does not require an account or sign-in. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Delete from the mobile app
- Open Dibbit and choose You.
- Open Settings, then find Danger zone.
- Choose Start account deletion.
- If asked, sign in again. Deletion requires a sign-in completed within the previous 15 minutes.
- Type DELETE MY DIBBIT exactly, then choose Delete permanently.
Delete from the web
- Use the button above and enter the email attached to your Dibbit account.
- Complete sign-in with the newest Dibbit email. If the account page says the session is too old, request and use a fresh sign-in.
- On the account page, find Delete this account, type DELETE MY DIBBIT, and confirm permanent deletion.
No grace period
What happens, and when
Self-service deletion is attempted immediately after fresh authentication and exact confirmation. When it completes, Dibbit immediately disables sign-in, the public profile, inbox access, and private reply capabilities. It retires the @name and Dibbit ID, redacts active message content, and removes the active Memory and private-media records covered by the deletion flow.
If required storage cleanup or provider revocation cannot be confirmed, Dibbit does not report the deletion as complete. The request remains safely retryable. A support request is likewise not complete until Dibbit confirms the result.
Data that can take longer or remain
- A connected Gmail authorization must be revoked before Dibbit removes its encrypted credential and copied projection. Deleting the Dibbit copy does not delete the source messages in Gmail.
- Dibbit queues eligible Stripe subscription cancellation and identity-session redaction. Provider processing can take time and may be retried. Stripe may retain information for its own legal or operational duties.
- Restricted disaster-recovery backups age out on their controlled schedule and are not available through the product after successful deletion.
- Minimal security, dispute, tax, accounting, audit, or legally required records may remain only while the stated reason applies.
- A reported GoGo AI response and its selected category can remain in restricted, append-only human-review evidence after account access ends while needed for safety review, abuse prevention, a dispute, service protection, or a legal obligation. That report does not contain the owner prompt or rest of the chat.
- Dibbit keeps a non-content anti-reuse tombstone for the retired one-of-one @name and Dibbit ID so they are not reassigned. The tombstone does not contain account or message content.

If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@dibbit.ai from the account email when possible. Include the Dibbit @name and the minimum information needed to locate the account. Never send a password, email sign-in code or link, private thread link, payment information, government ID, or selfie.
Dibbit may verify control of the account before acting. Support and privacy requests are handled within the period required by the law that applies to the request; Dibbit does not promise one universal completion date where provider processing, a legal hold, or another lawful retention duty applies.
