How to connect Meta Muse to your Dibbit address
Short answer
Muse connects to Dibbit at https://dibbit.ai/mcp. Sign in to Dibbit and approve the connection, or give Muse a Dibbit connection key. Muse can then find your @name, list and read your Requests, and prepare a reply. A prepared reply is not sent: it waits in Dibbit for your approval.

Choose how Muse signs in
If Muse offers Dibbit as a connector that opens Dibbit's sign-in, choose it, sign in to Dibbit, and approve the connection on Dibbit's consent screen. The screen shows the name the app supplies, which Dibbit has not verified, and lists what the connection can do. Sign in to Dibbit only on Dibbit's own pages.
If Muse asks for an API key or bearer token instead, use a Dibbit connection key. Sign in to Dibbit, open your inbox page, and choose Connect with a key where it is offered. You need a sign-in from the last 15 minutes. Leave Only the four basic tools on, which is the default. Dibbit shows the key only once. In Muse, add a custom connector with the address https://dibbit.ai/mcp and paste the key where Muse saves credentials. If Muse asks for a header, use Authorization: Bearer followed by the key. Never paste the key into a chat.
What Muse can do with your Dibbit
A new connection can use four tools until you give it more access. Each call is checked against your account, and Dibbit does not install or run any of Muse's code.
- Find your @name and Dibbit ID.
- List up to 10 Requests at a time in one state, without message bodies or private contact details.
- Read one Request thread, up to 20 messages at a time. Dibbit's structured return-contact field is never included, but text a sender typed is shown as written.
- Prepare one reply in an existing thread for your review.
Allow replies and review them
Preparing a reply needs Requests message access for the Muse connection. Turn it on for that connection on your inbox page. Without it, the reply tool refuses and Muse can still find your @name and read your Requests.
Preparing a reply saves it in Dibbit and does not send it. To send it, open Replies to review on your inbox page, or the review link the reply tool returns, check the exact text, and send it from there. You can review a prepared reply for 24 hours.
Automatic replies are a separate permission and are off by default. They never send a reply prepared with the reply tool above.
A key created with Only the four basic tools on stays limited to the four tools above, even if you allow more message access later, so it cannot use automatic replies. Your inbox page marks such a key Four basic tools only. Do not assume a connection made through Dibbit's sign-in is limited the same way: your inbox page lists the Dibbit tools each connection can use. A connection that is not limited can send a saved reply without your approval of that message if you give it more message access and turn on automatic replies for it where Dibbit offers them, within the expiry and limits shown when you turn them on.
Disconnect or revoke access
You can disconnect Muse on your inbox page under Outside agents. Disconnecting removes its message access and stops new tool calls. If you used a key, revoking the key cuts off the assistant right away.
Neither step can recall information Muse already received. Muse receives the tool results it asks for, including sender names, subjects, and message text from your Requests, and Meta handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Dibbit's Privacy Notice explains what Dibbit keeps for connected agents.
Frequently asked questions
Can Muse send messages from my Dibbit address?
Not through the reply tool. It prepares a reply that waits for your approval in Dibbit. A key created with Only the four basic tools on cannot send messages through Dibbit at all. Any other connection can send without your approval of each message only if you turn on a separate automatic-reply permission for it, which is off by default.
Does Muse see my email address or phone number?
When you connect through Dibbit's sign-in, the connection credential includes your Dibbit account user ID and email address, and the phone field is left empty. Dibbit's tools never return the structured return-contact details of people who wrote to you, but text they typed, including any contact details, is shown as written.
Where do I find the connection address?
The address is https://dibbit.ai/mcp. When you are signed in, your inbox page shows it under Outside agents with a copy button.
